Genoa v Chievo: previous matches
The Gialloblù will try to redeem themselves after their defeat against Napoli at the Ferraris stadium on Sunday. "There is distance between us and the relegation zone," explains coach Di Carlo, "but I'm sorry about the points we've lost. We've often given good performances without bringing home three points, like in the matches against Lecce, Bologna and Parma." There is a desire to do well, even though the coach knows how hard the next match is, against a Genoa side that has just been heavily defeated by Catania and another loss against Atalanta last Wednesday.
There have been nine Genoa v Chievo matches in both Serie A and Serie B: three wins each and three draws, the last match ending goalless. No players are disqualified, but twelve players are on a warning: Sardo, Bradley, Dainelli, Dramé, Luciano, Mandelli, Pellissier, Sammarco and Théréau for Chievo and Biondini, Granqvist and Sculli for Genoa. Marco Guida (Torre Annunziata) will referee, assisted by Giuseppe De Pinto, Fabrizio Posado and fourth official Emiliano Gallione.
